Why do I need to schedule a survey when I can mail a list of my belongings?
Pre survey is a must for understanding your goods and planning the action. The process includes taking note of your needs, identifying valuable goods, delicate items and perishable products, taking measurements of goods, analysing manpower required, number of cartons and vehicles required, checking provisions for smooth movement of packing and loading. Surveys also clear clients’ doubts and help coordinate the schedule more efficiently.
How long will the survey take?
It usually takes 30 mins to 1 hour maximum.
How many days prior notice is required?
10 days’ notice is recommended; but we also serve within 24 Hours in emergency cases.
What is the necessity of insurance?
Although we make sure the packing and transporting is carried on with complete security, unforeseen situations may cause damage to goods. Insurance is provided to recover any financial loss occurred to the valuables during the transit (Only).
How is the amount calculated on Insurance coverage?
The amount is calculated on the basis of the declared value of the goods. A field officer will assist the process.
What are the types of Insurance cover you offer?
We have two types of insurance plans – In-transit and Comprehensive Insurance, which are applied based on various parameters.
What is the time taken for Packing and Loading?
It varies from each house and office. Generally with a crew of 4 members, a normal truck load would take around 3 – 5 hours of packing and loading.
What is my responsibility in the entire process?
You have to cooperate with us by giving authentic documents (photocopies of identity proof, RC book and insurance (for vehicle) and two passport sized photos)
What kind of goods cannot be included in the transport?
Any perishable goods, food item, liquids, oils, inflammable items, plants and pots, and pets.
What kind of settlement procedures are followed in case of damages to the goods?
In case of unforeseen mishaps and damages during transit, the company guarantees to do the needful by connecting with the insurance company, deal with the entire claim proceedings and ensure speedy settlement of the claim.
During the transport, if nuts and bolts are lost by you, what kind of resolution will you offer?
We store nuts and bolts and other fitting equipment in special sealed boxes. And upon arrival it is the first box that is handed over to the client.
Can perishable goods be shipped?
We do not ship perishable items like food, fruits, vegetables, oil, flowers, pickles, as they stain or spoil other valuable goods. However, dry and preserved groceries are packed and sealed in separate cartons for safety.
My move date has changed, what do I do?
We request you to notify our team as earliest as possible for speedy resolutions. For emergency cases we accept 24 hours prior notice.
Can I also help pack my belongings?
It is recommended not to self – pack goods as insurance companies will not include those cartons under coverage. However, if you insist then the final inspection, packing and sealing, and inventory check must be done by us.
Will you help assembling my computer, cot and furniture?
Yes, our staff will assist in carpentry, fixing connections, plumbing and other value added services.
Do you have door to door car transportation service?
Our rates include door to door service only, where our driver will hand over the keys to an authority person after reconfirming the details with you.
How long will it take to transport my car?
It usually takes 10 – 14 business days, depending upon the destination.
How do I prepare my car for transport?
Make sure the car is well serviced and functioning to avoid any internal mishaps. Secure the auto parts soundly. Leave the photocopies of necessary documents (insurance, pollution certificate and RC book) in the glove compartment. Do not keep any personal belongings, perishable food, liquid and oil inside the car. Fill 1/4th of the car tank with fuel. Leave the keys with the driver.
How far in advance should I notice?
A weeks’ notice is recommended. We also take 24 hours’ notice depending upon the situation.
What cannot I transport with the car?
You cannot transport anything except the necessary documents. (RC Book, Insurance and Pollution copy). The car is weighed before shipping and if the weight crosses the declared KGs, the client has to bear the additional charges.
How can I bring the car to you?
We will arrange for a door to door service where our driver will come to pick the car from the origin. You can also drive in to our nearest branch office if the arrangement suits you.
Why is there a necessity for an Insurance cover? What’s the basis of the insurance? What type of coverage do you provide?
Insurance is necessary to recover any loss that occurs during the car in-transit. The damage may happen due to carrier negligence or unforeseen accidents. The package is offered with a comprehensive insurance policy for the carrier used for transportation.
Here the car is not insured, but the carrier (truck or lorry) is insured.
The coverage type includes ‘In-Transit Auto Insurance’ and is valid only until completion of transportation.
What is a Car Condition Report?
It is a document that states the overall condition of the car before transport. It helps us to deal with different situations including damages, claims and other legal actions. Clients will be asked to sign the vehicle condition report to meet necessary obligations.
I want to be present when you load the car, is it possible?
